Introducing TOODLES – our favorite chaos goblin wrapped in fluff.
Originally purchased as a Christmas present (yikes), Toodles was returned once the landlord caught wind of his presence. So, off he went to the local city shelter—confused, adorable, and completely unaware of how big his personality actually is. One phone call later, and we knew: this spicy potato needed us.
Let’s break down the Toodles Experience:
Yes, he’s cute. Yes, he’s fluffy. But beneath that teddy bear exterior is a 6-month-old Akita mix (64% to be exact), with a whole lot of opinions, confidence, and absolutely zero awareness of personal space. Sprinkle in some pit bull and lab/golden, and you’ve got a big-brained boy who’s destined to be 80-100 pounds of “did-he-just-do-that?” energy.
Toodles is in training and crushing it—but don’t be fooled. He’s smart enough to manipulate a room, will test every boundary you don’t enforce, and believes the rules are more like suggestions. We’re including five professional training sessions with his adoption because, let’s be honest—Toodles isn’t going to raise himself.
His ideal match?
A dog-savvy human who can laugh at his antics but still set (and hold) the rules. Someone who appreciates the working breed mindset and knows that mental stimulation is just as important as exercise. First-time dog owners… we love you, but Toodles is not your starter dog.
Toodles & Friends:
Other dogs? He’s the boss—no interviews, no applications. He assumes he runs the show and prefers confident, tolerant female dogs who won’t take offense when he forgets his manners (again).
Cats? If yours acts more like a dog and enjoys a good wrestle match, cool. If not… this is probably not a love story.
Kids? He’s a puppy piranha with a love for face-level chaos. We recommend older, dog-experienced kids only (unless your toddler is secretly a stunt double).
The Toodles Lifestyle:
While he doesn’t need a fenced yard, he does need space and stimulation. He’s currently loving life on a foster farm where he’s making friends with horses and working on his recall. He thrives with a job and really enjoys structured outdoor time, so bonus points if you’ve got land or an active lifestyle. No apartments or townhomes—he’s got too many opinions for shared walls.
Toodles comes neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and fully geared up on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
Toodles isn’t for everyone. But if you’re the type who loves a challenge, lives for ridiculous puppy antics, and wants a partner with potential to be an epic adult dog—Toodles might just be your soulmate in floof form.
