At just six months old, Skittles has already known what it feels like to be overlooked. In the crowded halls of a South Carolina shelter, day after day, family after family walked by her kennel without giving her a second glance. But through it all, Skittles remained just as she is now — gentle, loving, and full of quiet hope.
Now that she’s with us, we see her for who she truly is: a soft-hearted, playful, and incredibly affectionate pup who wants nothing more than to be someone’s everything. She’s wonderful with other dogs and adores children. Whether she’s zooming around the yard with a doggy playmate or curling up beside a kiddo for naptime, Skittles fits in like she’s always belonged.
We haven’t had a chance to test her with cats just yet, but with her sweet nature, we wouldn’t be surprised if she did just fine given proper introductions.
Skittles is fully vetted and ready to begin the life she’s always deserved — one filled with belly rubs, bedtime snuggles, and the kind of love that says, “You’re home now.”
She’s the kind of dog who would thrive just about anywhere — a family with kids, a home with another dog, or even a first-time dog owner ready to welcome a new best friend. She doesn’t ask for much, just a chance.
Let’s give Skittles the life she’s been waiting for. If you’ve been looking for a pup who’s equal parts sugar, loyalty, and love — she’s right here, waiting for you.
