Scout is a 2.5-year-old golden retriever who embodies everything we love about the breed—loyal, gentle, fun-loving, and full of heart. With a thick golden coat, soulful eyes, and over 100 pounds of love (he may be working on shedding a few of those), Scout is the kind of dog who makes you feel like the most important person in the world just by being near you.
Scout came to us after being deeply loved by his family since he was a puppy. Sadly, they could no longer give him the time and attention he deserves. He’s been raised with children, other dogs, and even cats—and he’s been a true gentleman with them all.
Now in foster care, Scout’s favorite pastime is running freely in the fenced-in yard and chasing after his beloved ball. He would thrive in a home with space to stretch his legs and a family ready to include him in their everyday adventures. More than anything, Scout is looking for people who will love him forever—through every belly flop in the grass, every tail-thumping greeting, and every quiet moment where he simply rests his head in your lap.
Scout is neutered, up-to-date on all core vaccines, heartworm and fecal tested, and on monthly preventatives. He’s healthy, happy, and ready to bring boundless love into his forever home.
