Meet Pistol – a three-month-old mixed breed mystery with the softest soul and the sweetest eyes. Weighing in at just 8 pounds, this little guy may be tiny, but his heart is huge.
We have no idea what kind of pup Pistol technically is – his breed mix is anyone’s guess, and his parents are a total mystery. What we can guess is that he’ll likely stay under 25 pounds full-grown and will always fit nicely in your lap… which is exactly where he wants to be.
Pistol came into a South Carolina shelter alone as a stray, but he hasn’t let that dim his spirit. He’s a gentle, sensitive soul who’s blossoming every day in foster care. He’s currently living with dogs, cats, kids, and even chickens – and he’s doing beautifully with everyone. He’s not a bold or wild pup; he’s more of an observer, quietly taking everything in before jumping into the action. Think “watch first, wiggle second.”
He’s working on his crate and potty training like any puppy his age, and he’s picking up on routines with the help of his foster family. He would do best with a family that understands the needs of a young puppy and can offer him patience, structure, and love as he continues to build confidence.
A quick reminder: puppies are adorable, but they’re also a lot of work. They need training, consistency, and time. We also do not adopt littermates or puppies of the same age into the same home due to sibling syndrome.
Pistol is fully vetted and ready to find the family he can finally call his own. If you’re looking for a gentle companion with a whole lot of love to give, Pistol might just be your perfect match.
