Meet Krew – The Boy Who Refused to Give Up
At just two years old, Krew has already known more heartbreak than any dog should. This sweet black Lab mix spent far too long in an overcrowded South Carolina shelter, where he was the longest resident and dangerously close to being overlooked forever. While others came and went, Krew waited. And waited. Each day, he would gently slide his paw through the bars of his kennel, quietly asking for someone—anyone—to notice him.
But Krew never lost hope. Despite the chaos around him, he remained a bright light—playful, affectionate, and incredibly social. He adores other dogs and has done well around children, always wagging his tail and ready to make new friends. We haven’t seen how he does with cats yet, but we’re happy to explore that with the right family. He would need a fenced in yard to zoom around in. He would love a fur sibling but an active family will do!
Krew is still young and full of life. He loves to play, run, and soak up all the love he can get—making up for all the time he spent without it. His resilience is inspiring, and his gentle, hopeful spirit is impossible to ignore once you meet him.
Krew didn’t give up on people, even when people passed him by. Now he’s hoping someone out there won’t give up on him either. Could that someone be you?
Krew is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all core vaccines, heartworm negative, fecal tested, dewormed, and started on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
