Florida is a 6–8 month old hound mix whose story almost ended far too soon. She found herself on the euthanasia list through no fault of her own—her only “mistake” was being passed over again and again while waiting quietly in the shelter. She watched others leave, day after day, never understanding why no one chose her. We couldn’t let her story end that way, so we brought her up north to give her the chance she so deeply deserves.
Despite everything she’s been through, Florida’s heart is still wide open. She is incredibly dog friendly, loves people, and does wonderfully with children. She greets the world with kindness and hope, as if she believes her forever family is still out there. She has not been tested with cats, so we are unsure how she would do in a home with them.
Florida is fully vetted and ready to find the family who will finally choose her—who will show her that she was never overlooked, just waiting for the right home. If you’re looking for a sweet, deserving young dog who will love you with her whole heart, Florida is ready to be yours.
