I've found my furever family!

Cora

We're happy to tell you that Cora has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Cora is a sweet but shy 5 month old pup that was found as a stray on the streets of Philly. It was clear that she had a pretty bad injury on her right hind leg. After she had no interest in the shelter, Cora was quickly set to be euthanized. We were able to secure a foster home for Cora and get her out on the crowded shelter. We rushed Cora to our vets where she was diagnosed with a right tibia and fibula fracture. The vets determined that she had this fracture for over a week until she got any sort of help. Her leg was repaired using a bone on 12/21/22 and she is now settling into her foster home. She will likely be medically cleared and fully healed by Valentine's day.

Cora has met cats and has been gentle and done great. She has also had great interactions with dogs and is currently fostered with a male dog.  Cora is not potty trained yet and working on her crate training. Her foster mom will work on hard on these skills with her.

Cora will be spayed, microchipped, started on flea and tick and heartworm prevention, and up to date on all age appropriate shots prior to adoption.
