Cece is a 3–4 year old Hound/Catahoula mix who can truly be described as perfection. She is incredibly sweet, highly intelligent, and eager to please — the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to coexist peacefully and make her people happy.
Cece was found as a stray and brought into a South Carolina shelter, where we immediately saw her potential and knew she deserved a chance at a better life up north. Since being in foster care, she has continued to impress everyone around her. She is fully house trained, crate trained, and has impeccable manners in the home.
This girl is dog friendly and extremely respectful of other dogs — she simply coexists without drama. Cece is also cat friendly. She may show some curiosity or excitement at times, but this is purely due to her energy level, not prey drive or aggression. She has lived respectfully alongside cats without issue.
Cece is a high-energy dog who is still adjusting to life outside the shelter and will benefit from a full decompression period. She thrives in a calm, confident household and does best with people who are steady and level-headed. A quieter home environment is ideal, though an active lifestyle is a big bonus for her.
When it comes to kids, Cece would do best with teenagers and older children. Loud, sudden noises can make her excitable, and while she is not aggressive, her size and playful nature could lead to unintentional knock-downs during play.
