Meet Buck
Buck is a high-drive, working-breed dog who is looking for a home that truly understands what that means. He is not a “go with the flow” couch-potato — Buck is a dog who needs structure, training, and a job to feel fulfilled and successful.
This big guy is extremely smart and very capable. He already knows sit, down, paw, heel, and kennel up, is fully potty trained, and reliably goes to the door when he needs to go outside. He eats politely in his crate and does well with other dogs, enjoying canine companionship.
That said, Buck has clearly had very little structure in the past, and because of that, he will require an experienced owner with strong working-breed knowledge. He is the type of dog who will push boundaries if given the chance — not out of bad intent, but because his brain is always “on.” Buck will thrive with someone who enjoys training, consistency, and mental enrichment such as obedience work, advanced training, hiking, or another structured outlet.
Buck is good with kids, but due to his size, strength, and high energy level, we are recommending a home with older children. He has not been tested with cats, so we are unsure how he would do in a home with feline companions.
With the right leadership, routine, and an outlet for both his mind and body, Buck has the potential to be an incredible partner. He is not a first-time dog and will require ongoing work — but for the right person, he will be worth every bit of effort.
Buck isn’t looking for just any home — he’s looking for the right one.
