For 10 long months, Adams sat in a shelter kennel in South Carolina—overlooked, unwanted, and quietly waiting for someone to see the incredible dog he truly is. He came in heartworm positive, with a body that showed the wear of neglect and a heart that had already been broken more than once. Shelter life was not kind to him. Day after day, he watched other dogs leave, while he stayed behind.
But despite it all, Adams never stopped hoping.
Now, after nearly a year of waiting, he’s finally getting his second chance. He’s completed heartworm treatment and arrived in our care, leaving behind the concrete walls of the shelter and stepping into the light of a new beginning.
Adams is around 6 years old and 55 pounds, with soft, soulful eyes that tell a story of survival and resilience. He is gentle, affectionate, and incredibly sweet. He’s currently being fostered with other dogs and does well with them, and he’s also great with children. We haven’t tested him with cats yet, but we’re happy to do so for the right home.
After everything he’s endured, Adams deserves a soft bed, a warm home, and a family that will love him the way he’s always deserved. His past was painful, but we’re holding on to the hope that his future will be nothing short of beautiful.
Adams didn’t just survive—he waited. He waited 10 months for someone like you. Don’t let him keep waiting.
