Henry is a 2-year-old pitbull mix who quite literally grew up in a kennel. Day after day, he was passed over — quietly watching the world go by. A close friend of ours in South Carolina noticed him deteriorating in the shelter, losing weight and hair, and knew he deserved more than wasting away behind those doors.
Once in foster care, we finally learned the truth about Henry.
He wasn’t “shutting down.”
He wasn’t “unwell beyond hope.”
He was simply being fed chicken — and Henry has a chicken allergy.
With proper nutrition, love, and a warm place to land, Henry has completely transformed.
About Henry:
Henry is still learning what it means to be someone’s dog. He thrives with gentle guidance, patience, and proper decompression. After spending half his life confined, the world can still feel big and overwhelming — but in a home, he blossoms.

Henry had so much wasted potential behind those kennel bars — and now that we’ve seen the real him, we can promise you this:
He is worth the wait. He is worth the patience. He is worth the second chance.
Henry is ready to finally start living the life he has always deserved — safe, loved, and home forever.
