At just six weeks old, Bear had already lived through more than most pups ever should. Found as a stray in South Carolina, he was covered in maggots and suffering from an open wound on his belly. He was scheduled to be euthanized—but something about him told us he deserved a second chance. And we’re so glad we listened.
Now 12 weeks old and three times the size he was when he came to us, Bear is thriving. This sweet, mellow black lab mix has proven he’s not just a survivor—he’s a warrior with a heart of gold. We expect him to grow into a big, beautiful boy, but don’t worry—he already has a big personality to match.
Bear loves to cuddle, take it easy, and be your shadow. He’s currently in foster care, where he’ll be working on potty training and crate training like the smart boy he is. He’ll also be fully vetted prior to adoption.
