I'm ready for my new family!

Eddie

I'm Available

Welcome our unsteady friend Eddie. Eddie was an owner surrender after his previous owners could not manage his care as he has been shaking and having episodes of falling over. Eddie has a genetic condition where the part of your brain is under developed that affects your balance. He has had an MRI, spinal tap and lots of bloodwork. Everything has come back normal other than his small cerebellum. The neurologist feels that Eddie may have a condition with his brain that will slowly start to decline over time. We are not sure how long this will be. He can have years, months or weeks till he declines. There is a very small chance that he can improve to any kind of normal function but we are holding on to hope, that we will see some improvement.  As of now Eddie is happy. He was born this way and knows no different. He eats and drinks well and enjoys the company of his doggy foster siblings. His major issue right now is balance and not being able to walk which we are managing for him. When Eddie tells us he’s done and not thriving, we will make the kindest decision for him. But for right now, steady Eddie’s only main focus in life is to enjoy it!

We are looking for a VERY SPECIAL fospice family for Eddie. Eddie will always be part of the rescue and financially we will cover him while he is here with us. We would love for a family to truly commit to our special needs boy and show him the best life while he’s here.
